Just a brief note to update everyone on forthcoming events.
The weekend of 19th/20th May sees the following races:
Figure of Eight race on 19th.
A downriver event with sign on by 10.40 on Xtra Thyme. High water is 08.40.
There will be an evening do in Warehouse 13 with the club supplying food and drink. New members are very welcome to do the race and join us afterwards.
Three Creeks race takes place on the following day with sign on on Xtra Thyme by 07.30. High water is 08.17
The Scarborough race takes place on the weekend of 16th June. The start will be on the Friday evening with high tide at 19.20. Scarborough harbour has recently been dredged and new pontoons installed. The harbour master has asked us to let him know approximate numbers so will anyone intending to do the race let Simon Thelwell know asap on 07712 001767 so that he can relay the information.
Finally the club now has a website with information and race results available. The address is www.hullsailingclub.co.uk The site is updated regularly with results of all our races posted, photo galleries, news of upcoming events and useful links for weather information, coast guard etc. Pay us a visit and let us know what you think. Please also let us know if you are interested in getting hold of new crew as contact details can also be posted on the site. There could be a rich vein of untapped talent out there!
